Heard on the radio

News report - Beloit's "Shot Spotter" gunshot detection system may be cut from the city's budget.

It costs over $50,000.00 per year, and is "incredibly accurate" according to a spokesman.

No mention was made as to if ever one report of a gunshot resulted in an arrest, or prevention of a gunshot injury.

Most of the newspaper reports that mention Shot Spotter I have read also said that no evidence of a gun being fired was recovered at the site.

Correction - $39k / year. Sorry.
