Please, President Trump - don't insist on fixing that which cannot work, by definition.
The true problem with health care in this country is the US government not enforcing existing anti-trust and racketeering laws flouted by hospitals, insurers, and drug companies. Protectionist laws favoring US drug manufacturers also exacerbate this.
When the CEO of a non-profit health care organization here in the Beloit, Wisconsin area can bring in over eight million dollars in salary and bonuses, something is seriously wrong. I can expect that kind of salary for a CEO in a FOR-profit business - but non=profit? Something stinks to high heaven here.
When a dose of scorpion antivenom is thousands of dollars in Arizona, and about $100.00 in Mexico just a few miles south, someone has profited by custom-made laws protecting their market.
Almost no one would need more than catastrophic and accident insurance coverage if costs were driven by the free market. It is cheaper for an American citizen to fly to Japan and have a walk-in MRI than to have one here. Once the machine is amortized, the only cost is LN2 for the magnet and electricity - not worth thousands per day by any means.
Fix the problem. Lipstick on the Obamacare pig is a waste of lipstick, and will ensure you are a one-term President - if the health industry does not bankrupt America first.

Shared story
Just got another email from President Trump - he wanted to hear my Jugearscare "horror story".
I obliged:
Jugearscare stole over $16,000.00 from my wife and me last year. I was laid off on December 22rd.
The contract house that was paying me did not allow the "holiday pay" for December 23rd, and paid me on December 26th - a new week - so I lost another $315.00 to Jugearscare.
I applied for Wisconsin unemployment. They asked for the gross amount of the New Years Day holiday pay I got - $370.00. But, after THAT Jugearscare deduction, I netted $15. Since Wisconsin only cares about gross pay, I lost that week's unemployment totally.
The Jugearscare "policy" we paid $315.00 per week for included a $10,000 deductible, so we did very little healthcare during the year, as whatever we did only went toward that deductible.
Also, since the deduction is pre-tax, we did not get $16,000.00 credit toward Social Security.
Repeal this horrible law - do NOT "fix" it. Fix the healthcare / insurance / drug industry that has flouted anti-trust and RICO laws for decades.
The Sunday paper here had a story about the head of a local hospital group who makes over $8,000,000.00 per year - in a non-profit organization. Something is very broken there, and a federal "health care law" won't fix it.

Jugearscare Follies
So, I got a new job. It has "benefits".
One of them is "mandatory" health care - or pay a "fine". So, I logged into their web site and checked out the two (2) available Jugearscare eligible plans.
The "high deductible" plan is a mere $300 every week, for a total premium payment of $15,600.00. This plan allows you to go to the hospital or emergency room, pays for X-rays and such - you only have to come up with another $5000.00 per person - me and my wife - to satisfy the deductible. So, out-of-pocket so far is $25,600.00.
OK. Now the deductibles have been paid. Every doctor visit now costs $40 for the co-pay. Prescriptions are between $15 and $60 copay, depending. Emergency room visits are a mere $250 each. Similar deductibles and copays for other things like ambulance rides. What a bargain!
But wait! You don't have to pay all that! Jugears the Benevolent, through his angel Nancy Pee-lousy, has in his infinite mercy, given us a lower cost alternative..
For only $90 per week, you get zero deductible for doctor visits. Zero for preventative care. Zero for pregnancy care before the birth. Zero for prescriptions, if they are generic or "preferred".
Sounds good, huh? There's a small catch.
The "basic" Jugearscare plan gives you all the preceding "free" stuff at a minor cost.
No hospital coverage.
No coverage for X-rays or other imaging - they will pay for blood tests, though.
No coverage for the delivery room or any postpartum care.
No coverage for "non-preferred" medications. Need an exotic drug? Get fucked.
No ambulance coverage.
No mental health coverage.
No substance abuse coverage.
So, if you can't afford to spend $300 every week for your "mandatory" health insurance, you have a choice of spending $90 every week for a crock of shit, or paying 2.5% of your salary to the IRS in the "fine".
Another little tidbit - the money they steal from you for Jugearscare is taken out of your paycheck before they calculate taxes - so the low wage earner will have less Social Security taken out than usual. This could result in lower benefits for some people at the low end of the ladder. Another "get fucked" from CONgress and our emperor to the working man.
Jugears and crew are going to rot in everlasting fire in Hell if there is a God with any sense of justice.
It's a freaking miracle I didn't pull an Elvis and blow my monitors away. I guess I'm not your typical redneck gun nut.
Now, let's look at the actual costs of Jugearscare. My employer must pay the same amount I do - so even if I don't use any medical services, $31,200.00 has been taken out of the economy and given to an insurance company to cover all those who get the "free" coverage. There's your income redistribution.
And that is just for one employee. There are maybe 150 office workers in my company who all pay at least the same for coverage, with the company matching the thefts by the IRS. Just at this one company, at least $4.7 million stolen. This does not count the factory workers who probably make less and get hit harder.
How many employees in the United States? No wonder the insurance companies were lobbying for this under the table.
Oh, yeah - after I finished signing up, I went back to the benefits page - and found that they supposedly offered both a "bronze" and a "gold" plan, that since I had signed up already, I am ineligible to get. No big loss - they cost more than the crap I had to buy, with dubious extra value - and doesn't the Jugearscare law fine you for a "Cadillac" plan anyway?

A new report by the Robert Powell Center for Medical Ethics at National Right to Life warns that one of the Obamacare provisions that ex-House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said Americans would discover if Congress passed the bill is that some seniors will not be allowed to spend as much as they wish on their health care.
The extreme position was revealed in a special report by the NRLC titled “The Affordable Care Act and Health Care Access in the United States,” which analyzes four fundamental policy areas of Obamacare.
It finds several ways that the federal health care law “will drastically limit access to life-saving medical treatment under the law.”
“These four areas include: the ‘excess benefit’ tax coming into effect in 2018, the current exclusion of adequate health insurance plans from the exchanges, present limits on senior citizens’ ability to use their own money for health insurance, and federal limits on the care doctors give their patients to be implemented as soon as 2016.”So, Bill Gates won't be able to pay whatever it takes to get treatment for himself or his family - it will all be up to one of JugearsCare's death panels.

We have told you repeatedly to vote NO on this monstrous misuse of federal power. The Constitution (little you care) has no mention of universal health care that will devolve almost immediately into the most convoluted bureaucratic nightmare this country has ever seen.
Vote YEA on the final bill and see what happens. You won't much like the results.

MoveON lies...
I signed up as a "member" of MoveOn.org back in 2008, so I could keep an eye on what they were doing and have a head start on countering it.
Yesterday, i got an email urging me to "sign their petition" to preserve the "public option" in the Senate Western civilization destruction (health care reform) bill. I did NOT click on the tab to sign the petition, instead I forwarded to friends and email lists.
Today, I got an email from them thanking me for my signature on that petition.
I don't know why I should be surprised that they would lie, but this proves it!

Mr. Obama, after advocating the bankrupting of our country, has said he wants no more spending. Listen to him - this time.
No more spending until you guys have eliminated ALL the extra-Constitutional spending already being done by the hundreds of un-accountable bureaucracies already in place.

Our House of "Representatives" voted to pass this remarkably complex, certainly un-Constitutional, bill without giving the taxpayers of America a chance to see what is in it - indeed, they passed it without themselves knowing what it contained. There was never enough time for them to read the bill, let alone understand it. They voted on a "pig in a poke", which they want to make the people of the US accept on their uninformed word.
Therefore, it is your duty as one of the last people between this abomination and certain signature by our President and its' being inflicted on us.
Vote NO if this comes up for a vote. If you don't, you have proven to the people of Wisconsin that you have no concern at all for their welfare, freedoms, or futures - only for control over them.
Vote NO on ObamaCare - I mean - PelosiCare. I insist.

OK, Tammy.
I had my suspicions that you did not give a freaking damn about the people you supposedly represent. Now you have proven that premise beyond any possible doubt.
First, you refused to attend true open talk sessions where the taxpayers you defecate on regularly could have told you to your face that they DID NOT want the stuff you insist on stuffing down our throats. You did this because you knew damn well what the result would be, and you were scared that you might have to confront their justified anger. Coward.
Next, you support the most radical, most insane "speaker of the house" that this country has ever seen, in voting to pass a "health care" reform bill that could not possibly have been read and understood by any single member of the House, let alone you or even your staffers. This is an act of treason against your constituents, even if it was not technically an act of treason against the United States. Morally, you are as guilty as any of the Muslim nut cases who blow themselves up to attempt to "change" the world. Simply an act of calculated malice, or pure stupidity. Somehow, I don't see you as a stupid person.
The "health care" bill will force American taxpayers to foot the bill for:
1. Care for illegal immigrants. Yes, I said "illegal". I know how desperately the Democratic Party needs to import loyal voters and will do anything to ensure that American taxpayers will never be able to defeat their plans for a World Soviet. Well, we will see how well that worked next year, won't we?
2. The American taxpayer will end up paying for the "medically necessary" abortions for thousands of women who were brought up to believe "it's a choice, not a child". Pure evil. And I am not even a "right to life" supporter. I just object to the blatant forcing of rules that a clear majority of taxpaying Americans detest.
3. The American taxpayer will be forced to purchase "health insurance" at prices that will ensure inability of millions of young families to ever save any money for anything. Of course, those who cannot pay - i.e., those who will not work, will get their insurance paid for by those who DO work. If you haven't noticed, the Thirteenth Amendment to our Constitution, an amendment the Democrats of the day fought tooth and nail, prohibits slavery. Of course, with the enactment of the Sixteenth Amendment, you managed to give yourselves an "out" - it's just a "tax", not slavery. Politicians are very good at twisting language, even if useless for any reasonable purpose on this planet.
4. Due to bureaucracy, health care costs will rise. It's a law of nature. There is only so much true value in our economy, and the actions of Congress in the last few years have ensured that our economy will drop to levels that people in the Great Depression would have seen as horrible by comparison. This WILL result in rationing of health care, and "death panels" no matter what cute name or acronym the clerks come up with. Medical research will suffer, and millions of Americans, and even illegals "enjoying" our largess will suffer poor care and needless death and illness as a result. By this vote, you condemn our country to a future many in "third world" countries would consider poverty.
I am sure that I could find much more to rail against, but since I am sure that you personally will never read these words, I will be satisfied in telling you - or more likely, the staffer who might actually read this, that I will be doing everything in my power to ensure that you become a member of the largest growing class of Americans - the unemployed.
I won't wish you actual ill, as that's not my way - but I am sure that thousands of Wisconsin taxpayers will do so very soon. Enjoy that thought.

OK, I actually tried to send that to Tammy Gay - but her website requires that you type in a security code. Every variation on the five-number "code" was rejected by the program. What a clever way to prevent even useless attempts at communication! She can now honestly claim that she never heard a bad word against her policies, since the website never forwarded the message.
I've got to wonder if that was a conscious decision on her part or by one of her minions, or just poor code design.

Next, you support the most radical, most insane "speaker of the house" that this country has ever seen, in voting to pass a "health care" reform bill that could not possibly have been read and understood by any single member of the House, let alone you or even your staffers. This is an act of treason against your constituents, even if it was not technically an act of treason against the United States. Morally, you are as guilty as any of the Muslim nut cases who blow themselves up to attempt to "change" the world. Simply an act of calculated malice, or pure stupidity. Somehow, I don't see you as a stupid person.
The "health care" bill will force American taxpayers to foot the bill for:
1. Care for illegal immigrants. Yes, I said "illegal". I know how desperately the Democratic Party needs to import loyal voters and will do anything to ensure that American taxpayers will never be able to defeat their plans for a World Soviet. Well, we will see how well that worked next year, won't we?
2. The American taxpayer will end up paying for the "medically necessary" abortions for thousands of women who were brought up to believe "it's a choice, not a child". Pure evil. And I am not even a "right to life" supporter. I just object to the blatant forcing of rules that a clear majority of taxpaying Americans detest.
3. The American taxpayer will be forced to purchase "health insurance" at prices that will ensure inability of millions of young families to ever save any money for anything. Of course, those who cannot pay - i.e., those who will not work, will get their insurance paid for by those who DO work. If you haven't noticed, the Thirteenth Amendment to our Constitution, an amendment the Democrats of the day fought tooth and nail, prohibits slavery. Of course, with the enactment of the Sixteenth Amendment, you managed to give yourselves an "out" - it's just a "tax", not slavery. Politicians are very good at twisting language, even if useless for any reasonable purpose on this planet.
4. Due to bureaucracy, health care costs will rise. It's a law of nature. There is only so much true value in our economy, and the actions of Congress in the last few years have ensured that our economy will drop to levels that people in the Great Depression would have seen as horrible by comparison. This WILL result in rationing of health care, and "death panels" no matter what cute name or acronym the clerks come up with. Medical research will suffer, and millions of Americans, and even illegals "enjoying" our largess will suffer poor care and needless death and illness as a result. By this vote, you condemn our country to a future many in "third world" countries would consider poverty.
I am sure that I could find much more to rail against, but since I am sure that you personally will never read these words, I will be satisfied in telling you - or more likely, the staffer who might actually read this, that I will be doing everything in my power to ensure that you become a member of the largest growing class of Americans - the unemployed.
I won't wish you actual ill, as that's not my way - but I am sure that thousands of Wisconsin taxpayers will do so very soon. Enjoy that thought.

OK, I actually tried to send that to Tammy Gay - but her website requires that you type in a security code. Every variation on the five-number "code" was rejected by the program. What a clever way to prevent even useless attempts at communication! She can now honestly claim that she never heard a bad word against her policies, since the website never forwarded the message.
I've got to wonder if that was a conscious decision on her part or by one of her minions, or just poor code design.
Anyway, it's war, now. I'm bringing the biggest guns I can out to fight for her removal from office. So, actually, business as usual here.

Yesterday, I posted the email Herb Kohl sent me explaining "health care myths", and my comments and reply. Evidently, he does not read his incoming stuff - if you select "health" from the pull-down choice for "subject" on his contact site, it just causes the proper topic canned email to be sent back to you.
I just got a second copy of the email I posted yesterday, in response to my comments. You would think they could at least keep track of what canned response they last sent to any particular email address, and make it look as if there was some real person there responding.

Warning about MoveOn...
I've been a "member" of MoveOn for quite a while - in order to keep an eye on 'em. They sent me an email asking me to sign a "petition" to get health care destruction passed. I clicked on the link to see if I could send 'em an email from one of my alter egos - like "Adolph Hitler" or "Joseph Stalin" - two of the names I use to answer their "petitions".
The link took me to a page where I could add my own comments to their canned plea, and I did not think it was worth the trouble. They wanted me to "sign in" to finish the signature - I did NOT sign in. I closed the page without clicking on any links.

The reform proposals to date will work to strengthen Medicare, and will not make any significant changes to the way seniors receive their health care services.

The examples of Medicare, Medicaid, the Native American health care system, the VA, federal aid to schools, and the recent failed bailouts, both the money stolen from the American people to pay off failed bankers' bad debts and the "Cash for Clunkers fiasco should make it eminently clear to even the dullest member of Congress that any bill at all proposed by that body will be nothing less than the worst disaster ever to befall our country.
I believe you are an intelligent person, and capable of critical thought. If I am correct, and you don't have some ulterior motive, such as bribes or graft, you will see this truth and vote NO on any attempt to have the federal government fool around with Mr. Obama's hobbyhorse.

I think that the important thing to remember about anything the government gets involved in is exactly how efficient and sensible they are at what they have already put into action.
As President Obama says - just look at the US Post Office - and think how great the same management would make our health care!
We sure as heck can wait for everyone to completely understand this monstrous bill, and all that goes into it before we allow our representatives and senators to vote 'yea'. Any congress member who votes on a bill of this magnitude without personally reading and fully understanding it is a traitor, and deserves what traitors deserve.

MoveOn.org asked me to write you about the proposed health care bill, so here are my comments:
I think that the important thing to remember about anything the government gets involved in is exactly how efficient and sensible they are at what they have already put into action.
As President Obama says - just look at the US Post Office - and think how great the same management would make our health care!
We sure as heck can wait for everyone to completely understand this monstrous bill, and all that goes into it before we allow our representatives and senators to vote 'yea'. Any congress member who votes on a bill of this magnitude without personally reading and fully understanding it is a traitor, and deserves what traitors deserve.
