Went out back with friends and guns. Friend brought a 1944 Aussie SMLE in .303, a French Lebel in 8mm, and a couple shotguns. I took my AR with the post-ban muzzle brake to see if I could get it to bump-fire.
No luck on bump-fire - the muzzle brake is too good. My buddy's wife enjoyed shooting it, though.
Those old French guys were real men - the Lebel has a pretty good kick. I did not like the action though - it does not cycle as nicely as a Mauser or Enfield.
Shotguns with steel bird shot do not penetrate the sheet metal of an old rusty VW body at 25 feet...
