West Baraboo bans weapons

Both open and concealed carry of firearms will be prohibited in all village buildings, including bathrooms at park shelters, the West Baraboo Village Board agreed Thursday.
Village Clerk Mary Klingenmeyer asked board members to ban concealed guns from village-owned buildings. She noted the board could not ban firearms from open areas of village parks.

Stupid law, it's only effect will be to inconvenience law-abiding folks exercising their rights.

Please be advised that I will be sure to avoid West Baraboo when it comes to purchasing anything, next time I travel up Route 12 on my way to visit friends.

Banning open or concealed carry in a park bathroom, when by law you cannot do so in the PARK, just demonstrates a petty, vengeful spirit of a petty pocket dictator mindset.

Thanks for helping ensure West Baraboo parks will be innocent of law-abiding folks who just happen to be carrying their choice of emergency protective equipment. Perhaps Baraboo is more freedom-friendly.
