I wanted to share some good news with you. Today, President Obama signed into law a two month extension of the payroll tax holiday.

Our voices were heard and 160 million working Americans will be spared a $1,000 tax hike on their already tight budgets.

You made this happen. Nearly 300,000 of you fought right alongside with us.

On behalf of my Democratic colleagues, thank you for standing up for the middle class.

I wish each and every one of you a safe, happy and healthy holiday season.
