I just accepted a full-time job doing plant maintenance in a gray iron foundry near here. Second shift.
Got to go piss in a cup and have my hearing and lung function checked, and have an orientation - I start next Monday.
15 months in the ranks of the unemployed comes to an end. Of course, if Osama makes good on his promises to destroy the coal industry - no more coke for the cupola - and make energy costs go through the roof, who knows if the foundry will still be running by November 2012?
