'We're digging ourselves out of a hole': Obama upbeat as jobless rate falls to lowest level for 19 months

President Obama insisted America was 'digging itself out of hole' today as new figures offered a glimmer of hope for the country's beleaguered economy.
103,000 new jobs were created last month and the unemployment rate dropped to 9.4 percent, its lowest level in 19 months, the Labor Department said.
