Of course, the way you fight a non-existent problem is by attacking inanimate objects that have legitimate use in protecting the lives of innocent people from criminals.

My note:
Professional basketball has no place for pandering to leftist scare mongers like Bloomberg and his anti-gun activists.
As long as your organization is supporting the disarmament of law-abiding Americans who are exercising their God-given right to self defense, as guaranteed by the Second Amendment of the Constitution, my family will not be patronizing any of your franchises.
Merry Christmas!
UPDATE: Got a reply from the NBA:
Dear Charles, Thank you for contacting us. The “End Gun Violence” public service announcement is solely to raise awareness about gun violence and personal safety in our communities. It does not advocate for gun control or any changes in law or policy. Through NBA Cares and alliances with organizations like the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, the league and its players have consistently addressed the need for safe places to learn and play and the important role that adult mentors can have in the lives of young people. Thanks again for writing us. We appreciate your sharing your views. Sincerely, Aaron Stewart NBA Fan Relations
S0 - they are not for "gun control", just for "safe" places where legal guns are prohibited. I see now...
