Cost vs. Warranty

I was trying to get my '83 Scirocco running. No start - no fuel pressure. Fuel pump not running.

Looked at Advance Auto's web site ti see what a new one would cost. Probably have a spare in the shed, but too lazy to go digging right now.

They had three listed - $105, $158, and $262.

The $105 part has a lifetime warranty.
The $158 part has a one year warranty.
The $262 part has a 90-day warranty.

Something does not compute here...

For $105, I'll go to the bone yard if I can't summon the moxie to tackle the parts shed. The local salvage yard gives a 90-day warranty on parts.
